Needed Housing is on the Ballot

Housing first is a key approach to confronting poverty that is consistent with our faith teachings.  Contra Costa County has a severe lack of supply.  Housing units aren't available even when low income residents have resources to pay for them.  Our advocates have voted to support these three propositions, 1, 2 & 10 to help build and maintain affordable housing and to allow cities to address fair policies for tenants. We hope you will vote YES for housing.
This $4 billion bond measure will dedicate funding to help military veterans and struggling families have a safe place to call home.
Use Million's Tax Revenue for Homelessness Prevention
This proposition provides revenue for bonds for supportive housing for people in need of mental health services.
This Proposition restores local control over the scope of rent stabilization measures. It repeals existing law(Costa-Hawkins Act) and allows cities to decide for themselves the best way to protect tenants from unreasonable rent increases.
