The tragic murder of George Floyd's by police officers has rocked us to the core. As we support the Black community's grief and rage, there is a strong desire to do something to end systemic racism. As Governor Newsom said, “The black community is not responsible for what is happening in this country right now. We are. Our institutions are responsible.” The faith community can take action now to bring change.
The Multi-faith ACTION Coalition has started a research action to bring the faith community together to address systemic issues that have become more evident during the Covid-19 pandemic including racism. Stay tuned for more on that.
There is something you can do today that will help reverse a past wrong. Repealing Proposition 209, an outdated law that has prevented full participation in California's economic prosperity for over two decades, is being considered by the CA Legislature. The Multi-faith ACTION Coalition is urging passage of ACA 5.
