More Priorities included in the State Budget

The Multi-faith ACTION Coalition has been advocating for more access to health care and substantial help for tenants and people without housing. The state legislative leaders announced the outlines of a 2021-2022 budget agreement with Governor Newsom that includes funding for a more universal, equitable, and affordable, health care system. The final deal includes historic investments in our health system, including a first-in-the-nation end to the exclusion of income-eligible undocumented adults age 50 and over in Medi-Cal. This according to our partners at Health Access.

From the Non-Profit Housing Organization:

The State Legislature sent to Governor Gavin Newsom a final 2021-22 state budget, which includes substantial investments in programs to address affordable housing and homelessness throughout the state. NPH released our analysis of the key affordable housing and homelessness solutions contained in the budget deal. The budget’s bold investments demonstrate that housing is the foundation for strong, thriving, and equitable communities in California.

We are grateful for the advancements in the Budget!

Please share the flyer above with residents and parties interested in being part of the solution for the unhoused in Concord.
