Action needed on an important bill to help end homelessness

Dear Friends:
Assemblymember Tim Grayson is a member of the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee where an important bill will be heard on Monday, April 12th. We hope you will read the following information then contact Assemblymember Grayson and encourage him to vote yes on AB 71.

AB 71 is sponsored by the Bring California Home Coalition, a wide array of homelessness advocates, and affordable housing and homelessness organizations from all over the state, including the Multi-faith ACTION Coalition.

The Coalition writes,  "Homelessness is the defining issue of our time in California -- a crisis that has only worsened as a result of COVID-19.  Today, hundreds of thousands of Californians are experiencing homelessness or are on the brink. This includes 269,000 school children.  We are in desperate need of an ambitious, long-term statewide solution to homelessness."

Assembly Bill 71 is a fundamental reimagining of how California fights our homelessness epidemic, centralizing state programs, and demanding measureable results.  Check out more at Bring CA Home

SUBJECT: Please vote yes on AB 71 - the Bring California Home Act
Good afternoon,
I’m a resident of Assemblymember Grayson’s district and an issue that is extremely important to me is homelessness. Assemblymember Grayson has a chance to help end homelessness in California by voting for AB 71 when it comes to the Committee on Revenue and Taxation on April 12. Please pass along this message to the Assemblymember, because there are so many of us who live in Concord, Pleasant Hill, Clayton, Martinez, Benicia and Vallejo who want to see a permanent source of funding for homeless housing and services for all of California.
Thank you,
