This is our second invitation.  If you have responded and received a confirmation, please ignore this email.  We hope if you haven't responded yet, that you will join with other religious leaders in Contra Costa County to enjoy lunch together and to hear about what faith leaders and communities working together as the Multifaith ACTION Coalition (MFAC) have done to address poverty in our county during the past three years.  We hope you will help us both vision and move this essential work forward in the years to come.

At the luncheon, hosted by Temple Isaiah in Lafayette, we will learn about the work and accomplishments of MFAC’s several Task Forces (Jobs, Health Care, Food Security, Housing, Education, and Race) and the Steering Committee. We will discuss the importance of extending our geographical presence to bring greater awareness throughout the county. As a group of faith leaders in Contra Costa County, we will review our proposal to create a new Advisory Board, to be peopled with religious leaders like yourself.
 
The Advisory Board will serve, as its name indicates, in an advisory capacity to the MFAC Steering Committee. Advisory Board Members will be asked to commit to only four engagements per year:
